Micky Flanagan - The Out Out Tour at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo

by Event Reporters

Micky Flanagan is an English comedian who started his professional career in 1997. Since then he has performed in a variety of places, in 2001 he took to the stage in the Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh fringe and in 2003 he co-headlined the show with Nina Conti. He has presented Micky Flanagan: What Chance Change? For Radio 4 and has made appearances on a mixture of TV shows including Michael McIntyre's Comedy show and Mock the Week. In his new show 'Out Out,' he draws on his East End background and fiercely rejuvenates the Cockney Myth with honed and articulate observational wit. He tells a funny, mesmerising tale of a working class upbringing where alphebetti spaghetti was a treat. His show has been described as a contrast between bold, intricate and delightful ideas with strains of cheap and scatological gags-to the maddening and humour craving crowds, he is a breath of fresh air! WinkBall citizen video reporters Maisa and Josh were at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday, 12th March 2011, to ask the fans what they love about stand-up comedy, why they like Micky Flanagan and their expectations for the evening.
