Summer Dhamaka: Wolverhampton Civic Hall

by Midlands Entertainment

On Sunday, 28th August 2011, WinkBall video reporters went down to the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton to speak to the audience members who were there to see the Summer Dhamaka, a celebration of Indian and Punjabi music featuring the very popular Indian Folk singer, Miss Pooja.

Miss Pooja has been singing for her whole life. After earning a Master’s in Music, she took the Bhangra scene in India by storm with her sweet yet powerful vocals. She later began recording duets with a number of artists. Once she had established herself on the Indian scene, Miss Pooja took her career to the UK where she continued to collaborate with some of the biggest names in Bhangra music.

Miss Pooja started her career with Darshan Khela and released the first album, Jaan to Piyari, in January 2006. Since then she has recorded duets with other artists on over 1500 songs and released over 300 albums.

WinkBall video reporters got the views of the audience both before and after the show. Are you a fan of Indian or Punjabi music? Then have your say by recording it to this video wall.
